Job Description : Position Summary

Business Valuation (Senior Manager)
The Business Valuation team, part of Deloitte Advisory, performs valuation of business entities, intellectual property, common and preferred stock, partnership interests, private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other derivative instruments. As a professional in this team, you will aid clients with mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; tax planning, and compliance; financial reporting; litigation and dispute resolution; strategic planning; and portfolio valuations and addressing shareholder value optimization.
Work you will do
Support US project teams in providing financial consulting services relating to valuation of businesses, intangible assets, and corporate finance related services
Analyze companies from a financial, operational, and industry perspective mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence experience
Have knowledge of financial models and be able to create financial models based on business issues or transactions being analyzed and get the team to deliver high-quality valuation work products
Successful experience in overall engagement planning and job economics (e.g., deployment, budgeting, and billing/collections)
Interact with internal and external clients and communicate with senior managers, partners/principals, and directors (PPDs) in the United States
Lead internal initiatives and practice management engagements
Effectively manage risk associated with engagements
Successfully manage a team, including resolving issues and starting to team across regions
Provide guidance to team, especially in cases where troubleshooting is required. Train the team on new methods and processes
Assist internal clients on client development and practice development assignments
Build client base with US senior managers and PPD’s internal and external relationships
Assume responsibility for the quality control and accuracy of client deliverables by supervising the work of staff and seniors
Involve and work on other Deloitte Advisory projects as required
The team
At Deloitte Advisory, our Business Valuation team provides a focused set of valuation consulting services to clients across a range of industry segments. Specific areas of focus include business and intangible asset valuation. Our wholly owned subsidiary at Hyderabad employs professionals who work closely with our US professionals to respond quickly and efficiently to the complex and diverse needs of our clients. We perform valuations of business entities, intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock, and other securities along with partnership interests. These services are provided to assist clients with mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; taxation planning and compliance; financial reporting in accordance with ‘US GAAP’ or ‘IFRS’ accounting standards; and strategic planning. Qualifications and Experience Required:
MBA Finance or Chartered Accountant
10–15 years of relevant experience in Business Valuation
Preferred:
CFA/CPA/FRM
