Your Role and Responsibilities
Who You are
You have strong technical and analytical abilities, a knack for driving impact and growth, and some experience with converged infrastructure or hardware in general
You are great at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing and implementing solutions to complex technical issues
You thrive on teamwork and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
You have an interest in, understanding of, or experience with Design Thinking and Agile Development methodologies.
What You will do:
Deploy IBM Cloud Pak System for IBM customers
Work with customers and internal teams to complete the technical assessment document. This includes answering questions about the network configuration to make the product operational
Install maintenance fixes and firmware upgrades on-site as well as remotely
Work across different teams in the organization to solve customer issues
Provide daily support to customers in analysing problems and sharing required fix.
Communicate clearly and effectively to quickly resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
Support on hardware component replacement. Ensure the replacement goes smoothly and it’s correctly configured at the appropriate firmware level.
Assist sales team in new opportunities
Document issues found during engagements.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
8+ years in a technical role (Development, test and/or support)
2+ years working in a customer facing role
1-2 years of experience in network configuration and administration
Hands-on experience with Linux Operating systems and clustering
Working experience on RHEL, KVM, storage and compute.
Experience with REST, shell scripting, SQL and Python
Proven ability to diagnose, isolate and perform problem resolution.
Ability to influence others and work effectively in a cross-functional team
Strong time management and scheduling skills
Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal and organizational skills are required
Individual will be required to provide production 24/7 coverage (if required) and support weekend implementations.
Readiness to travel
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience working in an Agile environment
Java and/or Groovy programming language experience
VMware Experience
Experience working with remote teams across diverse cultures
