BMC is looking for a Lead DevOps and QA Automation Engineer to join our family working on complex and distributed software, DevOps, and QA & automation strategies, QA framework development, execute test plans and assist the firm in assuring product quality.
If you are an experienced DevOps Automation Engineer with expertise in UI testing, API Automation Testing, Micro-services architecture, and if you are a curious, self-motivated, people-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills and constantly learn and evolve – This is a chance for you to join a newly growing team!
In this team, you’ll specify, design, and implement functional automation tests and infrastructure enhancements for new and old components and features using various technologies, providing the high-quality aspects of our products. In this role, you will face professional challenges and opportunities alongside a rewarding work environment and play an important role in taking innovative actions alongside the other development teams.
In this role, you will be:
Own the product component QA life cycle for maintenance or feature pack releases
Mentor team for innovating in a product, automation, tools.
Participate in product design review and continuously monitor the impact on the framework or quality of the product.
Work with developers, architects, and other Quality Assurance team members to improve on customer experience with a product life cycle.
Analyze the inflow of customer-reported problems and act as a customer advocate in the development process to address those problems.
Contribute to product/process improvements and refinement of QA practices
Understand product capabilities from the customers’ perspective
Showcase/demo product to customers and any other stakeholders, if required
What we are looking for:
9+ years’ of related technical experience
5 years or more working in an enterprise cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or Oracle)
Comfortable working in an agile nature in a DevOps environment
Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
Excellent understanding of Ruby, Perl, Python, Java, Oops Concepts, Advance Python, Jenkins and services experience
Automation Framework Experience on Python Framework and Automation, Selenium web driver; TestNG, Robotium
Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
Experience in UI test case automation is a must
Experience in Backend API test automation is a must
Working knowledge of Python and known DevOps tools like Git and GitHub.
Knowledge in network, server, and application-status monitoring.
Configuration and managing databases such as Postgres with replication etc
Exposure to various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
Working knowledge of databases and SQL (Structured Query Language).
Exposure to code deployment tools (Ansible).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent practical experience.
