General Summary
The successful candidate will operate as a member of Corporate Mechanical Engineering department’s mechanical automation tools administration team. Responsibilities include support of company engineers with the efficient installation and operation of design/analysis SW products such as CAD tools – Creo Parametric, Auto CAD, Solidworks, etc. FEA tools – Ansys, FloTherm, Icepak, etc. The S/W Application Engineer will interface with internal staff in the fast-paced execution of a variety of multi-disciplined projects.

2 to 6 years’ experience as a mechanical CAD / FEA tools automation, Mechanical Engineering Application support and administrations.
2+ years Creo Parametric user experience.
Scripting Experience like PowerShell, Bash, VB, Pearl, etc.
Working knowledge of Linux environment
Good to have PLM – Agile / Windchill experience

Responds to user support request cases via ME-Admin case support system.
Provides licensing support to mechanical design and analysis tools, including host server arrangements, client installation scripts, and supporting documentation.
Creates/posts FAQs for department design and analysis software tool users.
Generates system requirements, architecture, and user-trial/validation plans for custom productivity enhancement software tools.
Architects and writes code for in-house custom automation SW tools to enhance productivity of company engineers.
Utilizes knowledge of APIs to develop customization scripts for off-the-shelf SW.
Validates and qualifies SW tools for department usage.
Knowledge of EMN file exchange process between Mechanical and PWB CAD automation tools.
Good knowledge of mechanical design/analysis automation tools (Creo Parametric, AutoCAD, FloTherm, Icepak, Ansys, etc.) utilized in industry and associated user design and analysis practices.
Scopes industry developments for new automation tools and latest versions of existing off-the-shelf SW tools
Understand department modeling, drafting, and analysis practices and process involved.
Operate in a team environment and is able to respond effectively to changing priorities.
Coordinates effectively with various disciplines (CAD, IT, CM, etc.) during project development.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated.
Good to have knowledge of PLM: Agile / Windchill
