Hands-on experience in testing Linux/Android-based devices

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer – Kernel, you will make a large impact on dynamic, fast moving Amazon businesses, by improving efficiency and approach to testing. Working backwards from customer needs, you will identify the right sets of tools to build to achieve the best quality and customer experience. You will work in testing ips, peripherals, system use cases, stress cases.
Create test plans and test cases
Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products
Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines
Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
Understand the soc architecture
Experience in running performance tools on linux systems
Experience in testing of Video codecs, Camera Display, GPU
Experience in quality assurance for consumer electronics
Demonstrated expertise in black, white box and grey box testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles
Highly methodical test discipline, applicable to all product UI
Creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness
Solid understanding of QA tool development chains and environments
