The Amazon Consumer Payments supports multiple payment products and processes millions of transactions every day across numerous countries and payment methods. Over 100 million customers and merchants send tens of billions of dollars moving at light-speed through our systems annually, and use our products on and off Amazon.
We build systems that provide various payments features and process payments at an unprecedented scale, with accuracy, speed, and mission-critical availability. Key job responsibilities
As the QAM, you will own the expansion of our automated testing technology. You will tackle challenging, novel situations daily and have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams across Amazon. You will work with product managers, engineers, business leaders, and key partners to advance the organizations approach to improve quality across the products, at scale. You will also be responsible for establishing, monitoring and upholding operational excellence expectations and growing your team.

The QAM is specifically responsible for:
1. Leading a team of gifted SDETs and QAEs and building a self-motivating environment for your staff.
2. Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach staff at different levels of experience.
3. Work with Senior Engineers to define and drive the multi-year QA vision
4. Manage and execute project initiatives to deliver robust and scalable solutions against this vision.
5. Work closely with Development Managers, Engineers, and Technical Project Managers across the company to influence product development and support and enhance products.
6. Participate in strategic planning of technical and business goals with team, management, and customers.
7. Establish and improve processes to drive quality upstream and rely on automation to drive efficiency in testing practices across Amazon.
8. Own and drive operational excellence and improvements in team processes.
9. Assist directly and indirectly in the continual hiring and development of technical talent.

The ideal candidate will be a leader, quick learner and be able to work independently. He/she should be able to operate in a very fast paced environment where time to hit market is super critical. The candidate will need to balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
Experience in eCommerce and Deep hands-on technical expertise
Experience with voice commerce is a plus.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with service oriented architectures and web based solutions.
Experience managing and/or leading a technology team
