About the Unit

There are more than 500 million smallholder farms globally. 2.5 billion people depend on Smallholder Communities for their food and livelihoods. Smallholder regions are characterized by low living standards, high rates of illiteracy and low agricultural productivity. Yara’s mission is “Responsibly Feed the World and Protect the Planet”. Key to achieving this is enabling thriving Smallholder Communities.
In 2017, Yara created a new digital development unit to build solutions for smallholder farming communities. Our team is made up of designers, software engineers, data scientists, services and solution managers and product owners. Digital Farming is a strategic priority within Yara. Each year we significantly grow our global Digital Farming team and country coverage. With hubs in Europe, Latin America, Asia and North America, Yara Digital Farming is shaping the future of farming by building new digital solutions solving critical problems within agriculture.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the rest of the software development team to define and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure solutions’ quality
Create test strategy, plans, approach, scripts and any other deliverable necessary to achieve high level of quality
Define, review, track and report quality assurance metrics
Establish and promote QA guidelines, best practices and standards
Ensure QA goals and approach are well understood and ultimately secures buy-in by all relevant team members
Design, develop and execute automation scripts
Profile

Experience with at least two different mobile/QA projects where scripting and automation was required..Experience with end-to-end testing in at least two modern, large scale software test/QA projects. Interest to make a difference through connecting with millions of users. Understanding of low LSM users, agriculture and mobile technologies.Background in Object-Oriented analysis, design and engineering knowledge of using development languages such as JavaScript.Understanding of all type of testing (technical and non – technical) and ability to plan, communicate and execute them.Strong experience and background in manual testing (A/B, Regression, Sanity, Integration, System, Performance, Security and Usability testing) Experience using automated testing tools and frameworks such as Appium, Cucumber – BDD and JMeter. Should have exposure to Selenium framework as wellExperience with mobile test farms like browserstack / AWS device farm is a must.Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelineAbility to analyse automated test results and metrics, perform root cause failure analysis
