The/Nudge Foundation is a collective of some of India’s brightest entrepreneurs, leaders, and change-makers, tackling the greatest human development challenge of our times – poverty. Our work is organized across three impact streams:
Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (CSDE): enables underprivileged youth to lead flourishing lives
Centre for Rural Development (CRD): enables rural families to come out of extreme poverty
Centre for Social Innovation (CSI): nudges top talent to solve India’s biggest challenges
The TASF team is aiming to improve the lives of tens of millions of smallholder farmers. We are planning to do this by getting companies with innovative interventions – who are currently focusing on mid and large farmers – to serve small farmers. This will involve helping develop commercially viable solutions, getting companies that are open to serving small farmers to adopt them, and in the longer term, both creating an enabling ecosystem that supports such efforts and addresses ecosystem barriers as they arise. We will be actively scanning the market to identify high potential interventions, using our networks to reach out to organizations working with such interventions so we can get them to partner with us, identifying potential commercially viable models, doing action research to understand and refine the models, engaging with others in the ecosystem interested in this target audience, etc. A more detailed description of this in the document ‘Transforming Agriculture for Small Farmers – An Overview 2022 02 13′
At The/Nudge you will:
work with the team to conceptualize or refine products/services and processes to increase farmers’ income
understand different types of collectivization models to support the team in contextualizing the work of our partners and our hypothesis
you will engage in farmer and partner research to sharpen our understanding of the ecosystem and to uncover learnings/ insights. You will also undertake action research and assess the impact for various existing & future products, services, and business models
be the custodian of data & MIS
consistently lookout for new interventions and players in the Agricultural space
Apply if you have:
graduated in any stream with 3-4 years of work experience in operational and execution roles
strong research, analytical skills, and experience in using data to draw insights (comfort with MS Excel – data capturing, sorting, Pivot table, Vlook up etc)
excellent communication skills and the ability to make the respondents express themselves freely
the ability to learn quickly and to operate with patience and empathy
comfort with working in a start-up environment
willingness to travel
fluency in Kannada (spoken and reading proficiency) is mandatory
