Introduction:
The role holder will be recognised as an expert in their area of expertise i.e. Internal Reporting – Cost MI CoE. This role acts as a bridge between individual finance business partner teams, who directly report on the costs of the area they are supporting, and the management teams for the Bank. This requires the development of both in depth knowledge of the BX cost base, workforce and projects run within the bank as well as strong relationship management and communication skills.
What will you be doing?
Applicant is desired to have detailed and well-grounded MI experience preferably around Cost – managed and billing views and insights. The candidate may be required to carry below activities, not limited to any of the following:
Design, development and production of value add Management Information reports for the IR Cost MI CoEAccountable for timely, accurate and credible production of scheduled and adhoc MI reports and analytics, leveraging SAP BW and Business Objects.Provide FBP support and Month end close for multiple functions, facing off to the Lead FBPs and Business Managers.Custodian for reference data processes and data integrity to support Cost Reporting managing multiple reference data systemsKey participant and representative of MI Team in various client and internal team meetings.Change agent on applying appropriate technology solutions to drive Transform and InnovationVarious financial and non-financial stakeholder management and business engagement
Management Reporting, Cost Controllership and Analytics
Produce accurate, timely and reliable BX MI reports (EXCO, adhoc reports, forecast and budget)Reporting may vary across BX Balance sheet and P&L related with Managed cost, Account line view, Work force, project costs and billing views including waterfallingMonth End Close and Flash Process – Review and analysis of Flash Results, Issuance of Flash reports to Lead FBPs / BMs, Account line/Cost Centre reviews and process necessary adjustments.Perform various reconciliations of cost data flows between different systems and reporting hierarchiesUpdate and improve reports (in line with business objectives) focusing on scalability, efficiency and effectivenessProvide technical solutions / support to MI lead with emphasis on data extraction / manipulation / reporting using EXCEL, ACCESS, SAP BW, VBA < Python, Terradata, SQL and BUSINESS OBJECTS Hierarchy & Reference data management Ability to analyze and visualize end reporting requirements into structural changes in reference data systems for strategic implementationTrack record of completing business analysis assignments (business requirements gathering & testing)Proficiency on reference data management tools like DRM, RDM, Sap Static, BW, databases What we’re looking for: Post graduate qualification in a numerate/information discipline desirableCA and/or MBA (Finance) or any other graduation degree with a strong academic recordExperience in Financial Reporting, Control, Planning and/or AnalyticsBarclays data and/or analytics experience a distinct advantageHighly motivated self-starter and Strong planning & organisational skill Skills that will help you in the role: Accounting qualification / C.A. / MBA or similarKnowledge in Business Intellgence platforms like SAP, Tableau, Alteryx, Python especially in the area of Reporting transformationExperience around designing MI dashboards and insightsBroad business and industry knowledge and experience Personal and Interpersonal Skills Confident and assertive manner. An understanding of the business cost drivers, project delivery, an ability to fully utilize the financial systems and available data is required.Good influencing and negotiation skills. Candidate will help the MI lead manage the relationship with Finance Business Partners, Business COOs, Projects and IT to ensure effective delivery of MI support to these stakeholders.
