We want to ensure that 100% of India’s graduates are considered employable by helping them from a this age itself!Who Are We Looking For?Business Development InternsAs SkillSphere Education continues to grow and moves into its next large-scale phase of expansion, it has become imperative for us to hire individuals who help us in the area of sales. We need individuals who can assist the in-house sales and marketing team in publicizing our online and offline educational programmes to more parents and students pan India.We are thus looking for individuals for the position of a Business Development Intern. The individuals need to be students in their 2nd last/final year of graduate education or graduates who in any field of studyWhat Will You Be Doing?- You will first undergo 10-15 hours of training by SkillSphere’s marketing and sales department to learn the art of publicizing our educational programmes. During the process, you shall receive comprehensive training in the art of B2C marketing, tips and tricks, methodologies, systems management for marketing, and shall also be oriented about all of SkillSphere Education’s educational programmes.These training sessions shall be conducted online, and will involve some level of homework that needs to be done by you between sessions!- Making calls to parents and students to acquaint them with SkillSphere Education and its programmes, convincing them to attend programme demos, and thereafter ensuring their conversion for a long-term or short-term educational programme. You will be given lists of numbers from SkillSphere’s database by the publicity team to contact for this purpose. Based on the systems established and targets given, you shall be making these calls on a daily basis and must adhere to deadlines. This is a very important part of your job role. Currently, you shall primarily be publicizing our online educational programmes. Post the lockdown though, if we continue to be associated, you shall also start publicizing our offline educational programmes.- Working with SkillSphere Education’s sales and marketing team to generate leads via different modes – online and offline publicity, social media etc. This will form a smaller part of your job role. If you are willing to learn and expose yourself to more areas of sales and marketing, then we shall be equally supportive and ensure you get as much experience in this area as possible.- Update publicity sheets/databases etc. based on the calls you have made and leads generated or as instructed by SkillSphere’s sales team. These need to be done in a disciplined way to ensure that all systems are in placeWhat Should You Be Good At? – Communication skills: You must be able to speak freely and confidently with any person right from 8 to 80 years of age.- Public speaking: While we don’t expect you to be a Barack Obama, you should not suffer from stage fright or a complete lack of confidence when it comes to speaking in front of crowds. If this is not a problem, don’t worry about other nuances of public speaking. You will be trained!- You must be passionate about the field of education and teaching students: We are looking for people who are motivated about influencing social change through skill set development. You won’t be able to publicize our educational programmes if you don’t resonate with our larger objective!- Inter-personal skills and confidence when meeting/interacting with individuals otherwise unknown to you. You must also have good presentation skills- Systems management, collaboration and team work How Do We Assess Work? SkillSphere Education follows a system which monitors task completion by all employees/freelance associates as per pre-decided timelines on a weekly basis. We value efficacy and efficiency over everything else. In case you get selected for this position, your ability to make calls and generate conversions as per targets and deadlines, and your proactiveness with respect to suggesting outreach strategies and initiatives, shall be important parameters for work assessment.What Can You Expect Your Stipend to Be? We prefer making expectations of all potential applicants clear at the very inception. If you are selected for this position, then your compensation will be as follows: — Rs. 2000/- per month paid is a fixed part of your compensation – 15% of the total amount generated by student conversions you make for our different educational programmes. This variable part of your compensation shall be paid to you on a monthly basis What Is the Duration of this Internship? – The initial duration of this internship is 2 months. However, if both us are happy with each other, SkillSphere is more than happy to further extend the internship duration!What Is the Learning Curve You Can Expect?
