Description
We are hiring a Backend/Full-stack developer, who would be responsible for developing the high performance software products. The candidate must demonstrate good analytical abilities, attention to detail and verbal & written English communication skills. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be embedded on an agile development team. You will get to work directly with other Developers, Product Analysts, Managers and Directors, all of whom are dedicated to supporting our client’s complex technical issues and providing the Ultimate customer experience. In this highly collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to grow as a Software Engineer and help mentor others. As one of our team members, you will be part of our continued improvement, growth and expansion of coverage for our Workforce Management Software Solutions.
Develop a good functional knowledge for your domainWork directly with clients to resolve their technical issuesWork closely with other development teams for debugging issues, determining root causes and recommend solutions and next actionsIdentify common knowledge gaps and work with the Product Analysts on strategies to mitigate themIdentify trends in customer cases/issues and recommend areas where resolutions can be automatedProactively communicate with clients and team members to keep them apprised of issue status and any commitment datesParticipate in cross-training to expand your technical skillsetThe ability to clearly document and articulate the root cause of issues and resolutions to customers both verbally and written within the context of a customer service caseDeveloping software products using modeling techniques and software design patternsDeveloping web-based business applicationsParticipate in coding & designing of the application softwareInterpret informal requirement descriptions and detail them for other team members consumptionParticipate in code and design reviews to ensure quality and conformance to product standardsParticipate in the teams on-call rotation
QualificationsSoftware development experience in a fast-paced environment, working through all phases of the software development lifecycleExperience in Java11, Spring, Spring Boot 2.3, Axon-4.4, Microservices, Angular/Typescript, MongoDB, GCP, RabbitMQExperience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Knockout JS and/or Angular, Angular10Experience in database modeling, relational and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and techniques/tools such as MySQL, SQL, etc.Ability to write complex SQL queries and decipher stored procedures, triggers, scheduled jobsAbility to identify when table indexing would benefit query performance, ability to capture SQL traces via profilerStrong experience in SaaS/Cloud application/Product experience development domain including security concerns and multi-tenant service level agreementsProficiency with Git as a version control systemAgile or Lean experience such as Kanban or Scrum Programming methodologies (preferred)Ability to write code and test your own workExcellent problem solving and communication skillsAbility to design, code and unit test applications per specification documentsAbility to develop automated testsAbility to communicate information effectively to customers at various organizational levelsTeamwork is a must
Nice to have:
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plusExperience with Java, Python, etc. is a plus
