What you’ll be doing…
Solution Architect with in-depth knowledge of application development involving multi-tier frameworks. You’ll be part of the Network & Technology IT Organization focusing on end-to-end architecture covering Core Engineering and Service Fulfilment. You’ll work on the overall IT architecture and design for OSS and BSS tools and functionality development for Service Qualification Domain and functionality development for service fulfillment on VBG products and services like Ethernet, WAVE, Broadband and IEN.
Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams in crafting solutions and describing the impact of new solutions to systems and processes.
Support mission & business critical applications in Network Systems covering provisioning and service qualification domain.
Play a critical role in aligning teams on the Agile Release Train (ART) to a shared technical direction and partners with those teams in elaborating the Solution and its interfaces, validating technology assumptions, evaluating implementation alternatives, and creating the Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning and Pre- and Post-PI Planning, System and Solution Demos, and Inspect and Adapt events.
Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution and explore solution alternatives
Architect/Develop complex application migrations to the North Star technology platforms aligning with the SOE/SRE standards.
Create, lead, shape and execute programs with initiatives to process optimization and modern technology adoption to create higher value for the business.
Solution Architecture from definition phase to go-live phase with Logical, Technical & Physical views of Architecture.
Define reusable components/frameworks, common schemas, standards to be used & tools to be used and help bootstrap the Service qualification team.
Review design to make sure design is aligned with the North Star Architecture.
Create architectures and designs for new solutions around existing and new problem space.
Drive Technology and with best software engineering practices to impact on the entire architecture eco-system of the product.
Participate in code reviews, design reviews, architecture discussions.
Work with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to establish high-level Solution Intent, and the solution intent information models and documentation requirements.

In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience designing and building complex, enterprise-grade Java-based architectural solutions.
Experience on providing solutions / Architecture for Modernization / Migration projects.
Experience developing and optimizing server architectures.
Experience with Java/ J2EE technologies, SpringBoot microservices.
Experience in SQL/NoSQL databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL.
Experience with JUnit/TestNG, DevOps tool chain, Maven, Solaris/UNIX.
Knowledge on cloud technologies – AWS cloud or docker containers -Kubernetes (K8S).
Knowledge of SRE, Logging framework, VMB/MQ.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A degree or a certification in the relevant technology.
Experience in systems design and project management.
Experience in coding, drive teams through massive refactoring exercises and improve coding standards across large code bases.
Experience with object oriented programming, SOA, modular code development, design patterns, multi-threading.
Experience in Enterprise Voice/VoIP provisioning.
Experience with the North Star Technology stack aligning to microservices based architecture and SOE currencies.
Contribution to industry forums (e.g., ETSI, TMForum, MEF).
Knowledge of wireline networks and services (e.g., private and public IP, switched Ethernet, MNS, private line wave).
