About the role:
The role is based in the Pune, at SAS R&D India Pune facility. In this role, you will joining the Customer Intelligence department. We are looking for an hands-on SDET to contribute in testing and automation of our CI360 of solutions. You will be involved in functional testing of the analytics solution and take responsibility to develop automation scripts for large parts of the application. Furthermore, you will be joining a friendly team with a broad range of experience, to develop cloud-based Solutions.
Total Experience – 2 to 3 years
Technology:
At least two years of working experience in multi-tier application testing with an excellent understanding of software testing lifecycle
Strong programming aptitude in any languages like Java, Groovy, Python or any other programming/scripting languages
Hands-on experience of developing and maintaining test automation frameworks, backend automation
Demonstrated experience of automation testing at API layer
Experience of REST API validation using popular tools/frameworks like postman, REST-Assured, SoapUI
Working knowledge of writing SQL commands to manage, verify data and related test scenarios
Experience on Windows as well Linux operating system with basic troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of Jenkins, Git, Gerrit
Experience of these items would be useful:
Experience with any Cloud environment, Open stack, docker and/or AWS, GCP, Azure
Knowledge of any public cloud providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, etc
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI, CD) model
SAS programming skills will be a plus
Knowledge of any cloud supported database
Primary Responsibilities
Functionally test the feature and create manual test cases as per the story scope
Design/implement/maintain existing/new REST API and GUI test automation frameworks as necessary
Develop UI/API automation suite for web-based applications, execute it on incremental builds and report issues as necessary
Collaborate and work with development and test team develop good understanding of the product/business requirements
Develop and enhance automation framework to support automation testing of the modules
Analyze failures in application, report, track, and verify defects
Provide clear information and work closely with development and other teams to speedup problem solution.
Other testing tasks as assigned
