Job Description : As an experienced technical architect, you have a track record of big systems thinking, setting technical direction and standards for technical excellence, agile delivery, senior stakeholder engagement, and the ability to communicate with developers that comes from hands-on experience.

You will bring that now to JPMorgan Chase’s API Platform, which enables deployment and consumption of contract based web APIs, such as OpenAPI ( aka Swagger ) and GraphQL. Platform responsibilities include central API inventory, automated provisioning to gateways and inventory via CI/CD pipelines, quality and security scanning, back end services for external-facing developer portals, seamless on-boarding to APIs for external users, and developer tooling ( e.g. Maven, IntelliJ plugins ) to make it easier for developers across the firm to build good quality APIs.

As an API subject matter expert ( now, or develop into that on the job), you will also be a key part of firm-wide API standards and architecture, working with architects and product leads across multiple lines of business, with opportunities to engage the wider development community via internal conferences and demos, backed by your understanding of industry leading practice, vendors / open source projects and hands-on coding ability.

Key technologies used in the teams are Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, Intellij & Maven Plugin frameworks, OAuth and OIDC, OpenAPI specifications, REST and GraphQL standards, TypeScript UIs and cloud based architectures such as Kubernetes, AWS API Gateway and Google Apigee.
