To support our growth and commitment to hiring exceptional performers, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer based in Bangalore, India.
As a DevOps Engineer you’ll join a team of top engineers, passionate about DevOps and Continuous Delivery that promote and enable the continuous delivery practices for the entire OutSystems R&D, enabling the delivery of high-quality software that evolves at the fast-pace of modern technology. Your team will be responsible to build a modern, secure, scalable and reliable infrastructure, from roadmap conception to product operation and maintenance, to support all R&D development tools and processes.
At OutSystems you will face a wide range of engineering challenges, from planning to implementation and testing, including system design, optimizations, UX design, database design and tuning, web and mobile frontend development and much more.
We’re looking for a candidate to join our R&D Release Engineering group who is versatile, enthusiastic, a great team-player with strong work ethics, eager to learn and available to coach and mentor others. Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
Use your technical expertise to drive cross-functional efforts to help create great tools that will increase our developers’ productivity and enable the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practice at R&D;
Seek to find and implement innovative solutions to common developer bottlenecks;
Design, develop, test and evolve systems and tools to support a fast paced team environment;
Provide a platform of services which will promote R&D teams’ autonomy and CI/CD best practices.
Desired Skills & Experience:
A Bachelor or Master Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar. If you do not have one but you have equivalent real-world experience (and can show it), we still want to hear from you;
Knowledge of software engineering principles, testing practices, and tools;
Knowledge in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts and tools;
Experience using Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure to deploy and manage microservices;
Experience with cloud providers (Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure);
Must be comfortable with Python and shell scripting;
Fast learner, willing to experiment new technologies and processes;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Good communication in English, written and spoken.
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:
Experience in software development in at least one of the following languages: C#, Ruby/Chef, Python, Java, typescript;
Experience with infrastructure management and monitoring;
Infrastructure as Code Frameworks (e.g. Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Puppet);
Solid network understanding.
