About the Team:
NOM is a global leader in the enterprise network management space and is going through continuous innovation and enhancements to address the latest trends in the networking domain. For its customers, which comprises many from fortune 500 companies, NOM brings a highly scalable solution that supports a vast set of device vendors and models, that can be deployed with various DB servers, on multiple OS, on Kubernetes cluster, on prem, and on cloud platforms.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working on a wide spectrum of technologies to deliver new functionalities for our customers. The candidate should have strong technical skills with particular emphasis on object-oriented design and programming, Java, JavaEE technologies, and network management. This role will require working closely with the product owner and tech lead to contribute towards the design and implementation of key features and enhancements for network management software.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Work well with team members, TL, SM, PO to come up with best solutions and execute them efficiently
Investigate, analyze and implement complex, scalable and extensible functionalities
Follow prevalent engineering practices, TDD, automation, etc
Improve and innovate on product and execution
Own and implement user stories independently while also contributing as a team player
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Typically 3-6 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Should be proactive and diligent
Strong knowledge on Core Java concepts and hands-on experience with TDD
Expertise in JavaEE technologies & frameworks JSP, EJB, Spring frameworks, JDBC/ORM, REST Webservice
Experience with Oracle/PostgreSQL databases, application on Windows and Linux OS, Wildfly AS is desirable
Exposure to github version control, Docker, Kubernetes, shell scripting, JavaScript, Python, Perl scripting is welcome
Great to have: Experience with network management, network devices configuration and communication
