In this role you will work closely with development and release engineers in designing, building, testing, and effective delivery of major releases and periodic updates to the software product. Members of this team develop a deep understanding of customer needs and product capabilities. Our product engineers provide a strong technical voice in the product development process and use the best tools available to build highly reliable, sustained, and evolutionary software.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with developers, fellow product engineers, and release engineers to design, build, and deliver patches and upgrades for ArcGIS Enterprise
Assist with implementation design and quality assurance for backend apis and help design and improve software update process designed for on-premises and cloud infrastructure
Plan, execute, and certify hotfix, patches, and upgrades
Troubleshoot and triage customer issues
Share workflows via help topics, blog posts, conference presentations, tutorials, and samples
Requirements:
2+ years experience with installation and administration of ArcGIS or similar GIS technology
1+ years of experience in software testing or software development
Fundamental understanding of web services such as REST
Ability to automate workflows via scripting
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Passionate about building and delivering quality software
Organized with effective time management skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s or master’s in engineering, computer science and applications, math, GIS, geography or related field
Recommended Qualifications:
1+ years experience with scripting and automation of installation, administration, and monitoring of ArcGIS Enterprise using scripting languages and technology
1+ years experience with developing and implementing test plans and test automation for UI and/or web services
Experience with building and delivering software products, patches, and updates
Knowledge of Windows, Linux
Familiarity with cloud systems (AWS, Azure)
Experience with test frameworks (Selenium, JMeter, or Ready API)
Experience with scripting languages such as Python
