Position Purpose

Unblock technical challenges in the domain. Bring oversight and ownership. Challenge the technology status quo, propose practical improvements to design, bring about meaningful discussions for the improvement of platform(s). Understand priorities of the domain and provide strategic inputs. From a long term perspective contribute to different projects of the domain that undergo transformation/transition as per their life cycle. Potential to work in globally distributed setup as a first among equals in the technology space.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities
Review / Challenge / Propose Application Architecture and Design.
Ensure application teams adhere to CIB Technology standards while building their solutions.
Goto person to find solutions to any technical challenges in the domain.
Hands on and lead by example.
Resolve performance bottlenecks.
Review Performance test reports and propose preventive measures to be undertaken.
Take ownership of POCs and technical feasibility studies.
Keep up-to-date with latest technologies, trends and provide inputs, expertise and recommendations.
Contributing Responsibilities
Contribute towards innovation; suggest new technical practices for efficiency improvement.
Contribute towards recruitment.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Resourceful to quickly understand complexities involved and provide the way forward.
Good experience in technical analysis of n-tier applications with multiple integrations using object oriented, APIs & Microservices approaches.
Strong knowledge about design patterns and development principles.
Inclination and prior experience of working across .NET and Java stack.
Strong knowledge in .NET or Core Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Spring Boot, SQL or Oracle, Messaging Middleware (For e.g IBM MQ)
Experience in Security topics such as IDP, SSO, IAM and related technologies.
Good knowledge on Linux/Unix environment (basic commands, shell scripting, etc.)
Some experience of working with build tools like Maven & DevOps tools like Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, SonarQube.
Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, DevOps.
Development experience of MVC Architecture based web applications, including creation of Web Services (RESTful APIs/ SOAP Services).
