Job Description : Job Responsibilities:
Working closely with Business users, gathering requirements and translating them.
Ingesting data from a variety of data sources and performing required transformations in Power BI query editor.
Data modelling capabilities including designing effective BI data models.
Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
Utilizing the navigation features in Power BI (e.g. bookmarks, drill-through) to guide readers through a compelling data-driven story.
Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set.
Able to implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
Developing calculations in DAX.
Publishing reports via the Power BI service, managing them through distribution of apps and monitoring usage/data refreshes/security access.
Shaping an approach for governance and deployment of Power BI including advising on licensing, distribution/sharing, training and support.
Required Skills:
Must have 7+ years development experience in Power BI (Power BI Desktop, POWER BI Report Builder, SSRS, SQL Server, advanced visual development in PowerBI, data source integration).
Very strong SQL skills for querying and creation of views/tables, functions and stored procedures
Very good understanding of dimensional modelling (Star Schema).
Knowledge of cloud computing, preferably on Azure.
Experience in supporting the full BI lifecycle from requirements analysis, through design & development and support/maintenance phases.
Other Reporting tools will be Plus.
