Position Purpose
The role is of a Business Analyst & Production Admin in Exchange Layer (EL) application used globally. Position will be based in India as part of a global team spread across India and UK.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities:
Business Analysis –
Analyze interface requirements and business processes. Prepare detailed functional specifications for delivery to EL IT. Coordinate closely with the IT team to ensure understanding of functional specifications and provide functional support, follow-up development plan, monitor change requests. Liaise with IT and business areas to resolve outstanding risks and issues. Understand & prepare detailed testing requirements (test plan & test cases being prepared by other teams), gather test data and conduct/coordinate testing phases (IST, UAT, Regression…). Manage the project lifecycle against recognized project management methodologies, and plan, track and report progress of projects. Provide support to operations from a functional perspective, and undertake M&E activities for the current catalogue of feed processes, as required. Liaise with other organizational and technical teams in the operational and financial areas.
Production Release Management –
Coordinate NRT (Non-Regression Testing) before every release cycle of EL, gather the scope/impact of new projects/enhancements and production incidents on existing feeds before go-live, follow up for timely NRT validations/signoff with EL BA, IT and QA teams, NRT progress review, release communication and post release documentation checks. Coordinate and run monthly scope reviews.
Coordinate closely with finance & back-office teams –
Liaise with various finance (LAP, OFS, Atlas2, etc.), Back Office/Middle Office (Calypso, OMR, Murex, FXO, etc.) and EL QA teams to handle Client Regression requests, collect manual holiday calendars annually, support NRT for upstream and downstream team’s changes/enhancements and identify impact, if any, on EL.
Documentation management –
Act as owner of EL Functional documents repository/SharePoint. Coordinate timely collection of all EL functional documentation with EL BAs and update functional documents when required. Also involves EL Feeds’ Catalogue maintenance, SOP creation and its maintenance, as and when required.
Reporting and Admin tasks –
Produce reports from Service Now/infrastructure tools for performance statistics, management committee reporting, KPIs creation, documentation audit and its reporting. Produce weekly EL BA & IT support rota, conduct quarterly configuration audit in coordination with EL IT, upload SOPs to PACT annually and manage access rights for BA joiner/leaver.
Develop EL Infrastructure tools –
Contribute to specify and test EL Infrastructure Tools and further developments of ServiceNow.
Compliance –
To ensure all activities carried-out and solutions proposed, planned and delivered are compliant with policy guidelines specified by the organization.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Business Analytical:
Professional background in finance vertical with a good understanding of financial terms, accounting system processes, financial instruments and transactions, etc.
Proven experience in the business analysis and project management area, supporting a finance team within a banking environment
Ability to analyze business requirements and develop functional specifications
Good understanding of testing principles and practices (Test Plan, Test Case development, test execution, test progress tracking and status reporting)
Ability to understand management reporting needs and produce data accordingly
Technical:
Ability to work with large data sets in MS Excel/Access and corresponding tools and formulae like pivots, lookups, etc.
Familiarity with IT systems/databases (basic SQL skills) required
Behavioral:
