Responsibilities:

Marketing and Sales Responsibilities

Build relationships with the large agrochemical companies in India and establish a network

Advise better ways to drive more sales; strategize to further grow the company

Manage the sales process with distribution partners to research, gain access to and present business fit proposals to gain agreement on initiatives, increase the use and/or support the developed products within the accounts’ system

Assumes leadership role in understanding, developing, negotiating and implementing customer focused strategic account initiatives that enhance the company’s and customers’ profitability

Develops account business fit plans consistent with the company’s short-range and long-range objectives

Facilitate and Collaborate effectively with internal departments and personnel – including but not limited to Sales, Technical Services, Product Development, Marketing, Manufacturing, Legal and Customer Service to develop and implement market plans for the Specialty Crop market in India

Strategize and collaborate/coordinate with the Marketing liaison and Field Development Manager to develop tactical plans to support grower and distribution partner initiatives at account branch locations

Maintain call records and submit them in a timely fashion

Manage expenses within budget

Create internal and external presentations utilizing PowerPoint and other media

Build the sales force, when required by the organization

Influencer/ Customer Activities/Responsibilities

Network with peers, Technical Services, Sales Managers and Product Development management to identify new business opportunities; explore means to capitalize on these opportunities and to optimize resources

Represent the brand in local, Regional, National and as necessary International professional groups

Assist with special emphasis seminars and conferences. Maintain direct communications with key customer and University resource personnel to keep updated on changing technology and/or plant health and plant pest problems

Represent the company in the Professional Community. Identify Centers of Influence (COIs), develop relationships and influence when appropriate while keeping with ethical behaviors

Team Based Activities/Responsibilities

Identify new opportunities and plan strategies with Field Development, Technical Services and Marketing to capitalize on new business development opportunities

Assist in developing and implementing a focused field research program based on input from Customers, Marketing, Sales team, New Product Development and Technical Services

Cooperate with Field Development, Product Development and Technical Services to secure the establishment of trials in areas or crops not readily available at other locations

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with customers, collaborators, co-workers, and management

Candidate Profile:

Graduate in Agriculture. M.Sc. or MBA strongly preferred

Must have the ability to leverage relationships with key decision makers & distribution network of leading Agri input companies

Well networked & proximity with growers/farmers

Maintain an active status in appropriate professional and industry groups and prepare and deliver technical presentations at meeting as required

Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team

Willingness and ability to provide superior customer service

Capable of delivering results with little supervision and to effectively prioritize duties

Ability to work under stress and work on multiple competing priorities at one time

Functional knowledge of all key and most secondary crops and pests within the territory is essential, and a working knowledge in all markets is required

Demonstrate strong, sustained desire to improve personally and professionally

Excellent time management and planning skills are required to maximize customer calls

Creative & building skills, ability to manage long term customer relationships
