Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add Senior Financial Analyst – Cost Accounting Solutions located in Chennai.
Reporting to the Manager – Cost Accounting, this role involves to Perform cost accounting activities for the sites of Flex and to standard cost updations.
What a Typical day looks like:
Adhere to Direct Material Standard Cost, Capitalization or Direct Labor and Manufacture Overhead in Inventory, Monthly Purchase Price Variance, Cycle Counting, and Inventory transfer policy
Lead and drive a team of 8 to 10 cost accountants.
Understand the corporate policy and follow-up to reduce the non-conformance for costing metrics
Work along with operations team & track reasons for metric non-conformances.
Perform root cause analysis in mitigating the risk in Inventory levels .
Drive cost reduction initiatives through kaizens & process improvements
Ensure reports are delivered on time and accuracy as per the agreed delivery schedule for reports
Manage customer expectation and requirements. Schedule monthly feedback call with the stakeholders to track performance.
Provide training to the team members on all the cost accounting site support activities
Conduct Monthly reviews, appraisals.
Monitor performance, maintain critical incidents. manage the IDP for each member of the group, create a talent pool and work on succession planning.
Drive large scale transitions. Ensure documentation and sign off.
Drive and initiate process improvements. Lead six sigma and Lean projects.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
6+ years in Cost Accounting or Finance and accounting.
Candidates with 3 to 4 years of experience in case of CA, CMA CS qualified, and 5 to 6 years in case of other post graduates, out of which 2 to 3 years of relevant experience is preferred. Atleast one year as people manager is preferred,
Good written and Oral communication skills.
Strong analytical ability & Strong Accounting knowledge
Hands on experience in MS Excel, Power point, Outlook
Should be open to all shifts.
