Funding & Finance Technology

Finance and Funding Technology department at Morgan Stanley manages the funding for the firm while ensuring the firm has adequate liquidity for covering any liquidity risks. As a technology team, we build and own the products that are leveraged by Treasury for running stress simulations on firm positions across business units. We own multi-terabyte data warehouse and state of the art middle tier services that takes in the Firms global positions and processes through various Liquidity metrics calculation.

Job Profile

We are looking for an experienced Tableau developer to join the TPC department. The team is a global team with members in New York, Montreal, Bengaluru and Mumbai and clients in Europe, Asia and North America.
The development team is responsible for the development solutions using Tableau vendor product The new application will be used for reporting and analytics as well.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire SDLC, have excellent communication skills and experience working directly with the business. They will need to be self-sufficient and comfortable with building internal networks, both with the business and other technology teams.
They will be expected to own changes all the way from inception to deployment in production. In addition to implementing new functionality they will use their experience in TDD and best practices to identify process gaps or areas for improvement with a constant focus on scalability and stability.
Candidate should be self-motivated, results oriented and able to multi-task across with different teams and applications. Further the candidate will need to work effectively with remotely dispersed teams as the role will require constant communication across various regional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS
Skill Set

Minimum 4-5 years of professional experience in building dashboards, scorecards using Tableau.

Full understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing and data transformation.

Strong knowledge on Tableau server architecture and applying business rules and data validations.

Good Knowledge of Tableau APIs.

Experience in end-to-end implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) projects, especially in scorecards, KPIs, reports & dashboards.

Experience on other BI tools like QlikView and PowerBI an added advantage.
Hands-on professional with thorough knowledge of scripting, data source integration.

Ability to write complicated yet efficient SQL queries and stored procedures
Knowledge of formal database architecture and design. Good SQL experience.

Background in software/web application development at least one of the tools such as Python.

Working Experience in Agile Methodology.
Self-motivated, be able to work independently as well as being a team player.
Strong client service focus and willingness to respond to queries and provide deliverables within prompt timeframes.
Ability to challenge status-quo through identification of key business requirements and addressing through innovative data-visualization solutions.
Ability to effectively interact with, present information to, and respond to questions from all levels of the organization and partners.
Comfortable in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.
Ability to communicate complex analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
Ability to research and troubleshoot technical problems.
Financial Services experience will be a strong plus
