JOB TITLE: Development Manager – Java microservices

SAP Ariba is looking for a development manager to lead a highly skilled and motivated team of colleagues with different experience levels. As a development manager, you will be expected to keep up technically with the team and be able to provide technical guidance and leadership to make the team successful in delivery of features and improve the overall quality of the area.
THE ROLE:
Lead, motivate, develop, and coach your employees.Create an environment of education, trust, openness, agility, and motivation to form and continuously improve the development team you are responsible for with tenacity to solve problems in a result-focused way.Actively contribute to vision, strategy, architecture, and developments of the product and a be a great technical lead.Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to establish a close relationship, define, and rank the overall priorities based on stakeholder requirements, customer feedback, and overall product strategy.Work in multiple components of Supplier Management built on robust, easily deployable microservice architecture based on Java and web technologies.SAP is embarking on the next leg and would be using a tech stack of SAP UI5, SAP BTP, CloudFoundry, DWC. Having exposure to these technologies would be added advantage.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
10+ years of development experience developing production-grade software with bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent ones2+ years working experience leading a development teamOutstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skillsPrevious work experience as a development expert/technical architect.Expertise in core Java and web application development.Experience building microservices and open source frameworks like Spring boot.Exposure to microservices architecture, SaaS, multi-tenancy.Experience in ORM technologies like JPA, Hibernate and HQL/SQL queries, and in OOAD, design patterns, antipatterns.Sound knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, data structures, design patterns and architecture principlesCloud mindset, entrepreneurial drive, ability to “think out of the box”, and innovate from idea to execution
