Project description
This position is part of PayTV cloud-based TiVo service team that powers the experience of clients such as Streamers, Android TV, Smart TVs, Set Top Boxes, Mobiles, etc. and enables IPTV features such as IP Linear, IPVOD, Restart, Catch-Up and Network DVR.
Job purpose:
This is a key position for success of PayTV cloud-based TiVo service by enabling faster and more efficient software delivery in multiple data centers with high level of planning and coordination across teams, thus giving a boost to our aggressive goal of modernizing our service and powering growth in 2022 and beyond.
Here’s what you get to do:
Shepherd numerous cloud service projects and tasks across multiple development teams from concept to deployment.
Create plans for the implementation and deployment to meet the schedule and track to that plan.
Be the point person for driving end to end integration of our services in different development, test, staging and production environments.
Be the point person to create Change Requests (CRs) and drive the deployment plan & activities. Represent the teams in Change Advisory Board (CAB) by presenting the CRs.
Identify and resolve inter-team dependencies and priority conflicts.
Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
Proactively identify issues and risks; devise and implement risk mitigation strategies across programs
Communicate the project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements, etc. between different teams and stakeholders.
Represent teams in project meetings and be the main point of contact for internal teams as well as external partners.
Constantly improving the processes, workflows and practices with the goal of being more responsive to user needs and market requirements.
Ensure timely and objective information exchange between all the stakeholders, including reporting on team progress.
Be flexible and adapt/manage changes to program both internally and externally
Schedule the release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release.
Become highly knowledgeable of our core product features, roadmaps, customers and changing priorities.
Who we are looking for?
This is a senior Individual Contributor (IC) position. You should have 12 to 14 years of industry experience with 5+ years of delivery manager and/or technical project/program management experience.
Combination of technical abilities and experience in delivery management function.
Demonstrated records of regularly delivering complex software projects and programs on time.
Extremely organized and a compulsive problem solver with almost obsessive attention to detail.
Can understand (within reason) the underlying technical issues and an innate desire to understand how things work.
Proven experience working in a scaled agile software development environment, preferably having previous experience of being a scrum master or product owner.
Excellent verbal and written communication with good presentation skills.
Relationship builder that despite assertive nature gets things done and people respect the results.
Experience working in a complex, geographically distributed organization spanning multiple time zones and adapting to its needs.
Experienced/certified with Agile Scrum or PMP.
Confident, self-directed and a go-getter with the ability to deal with multiple simultaneous tasks.
Familiarity with digital entertainment domain is a plus.
Supporting tools used
Jira, Confluence, Service Now, GitHub, Perforce, Jenkins, Gitops, Terraform, Splunk, Grafana, MS Project or similar.
Overview of the recruitment process
Time to complete interview cycle: 14 – 21 Days (depending on your availability)
Number of interview rounds: 3-4 rounds with hiring manager and different stake holders + 1 HR
Given the pandemic, all the interviews are conducted remotely using a video interview platform.
