Job Description : MySQL Database AdministratorJob Summary:We are looking for an experienced MySQL database administrator who will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of clusters of MySQL instances. You will also be responsible for orchestrating upgrades, backups, and provisioning of database instances. You will also work in tandem with the other teams, preparing documentations and specifications as required.Responsibilities:1. Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.2. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.3. Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.4. Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.5. Provide 24×7 support for critical production systems.6. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.7. Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.Required Skills:1. Strong proficiency in MySQL database management2. Experience with recent version of MySQL3. Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM4. Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB5. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools6. Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL serverBehavioural Profile:1. Good time management skills2.
