Job Title – Principal – Software Engineering – API & Cloud

The Purpose of This Role
Identify and recommend tools and technologies which help Improve the security posture within our product as well as AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes
Responsible for implementing and administering platform and security architecture, technology processes and solutions including
security systems (anti-malware and intrusion detection, public key and certificate management, identity and password management),
monitoring capabilities,
disaster recovery infrastructure
Collaborate with different groups within the organization, identify security and DevOps best practices, and evangelize those across other organizations.
Triage and report production outages or infrastructure issues
Work with on-shore development team to implement changes for compliance purposes (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
Conduct demos, participate in technical reviews and drive excellence.

The Skills that are Key to this role
Technical / Behavioral
Hands-on Principal software engineer who brings experience in configuring and maintaining infrastructure as code.
8-10 years of software engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
You are high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and adaptive and can work in a dynamic environment.
You have the skills to take initiative and the self-motivation to drive results.
You possess strong communication skills – both verbal and written – and strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills.
Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities and to work as a member of a diverse and geographically distributed team.
You are experienced in risk analysis and troubleshooting large scale distributed systems
You have built or implemented IDS and/or DLP systems.
You have a solid understating and experience configuring AWS services (Security hub, GuardDuty, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda) and security practices.
You have an understanding of software development processes, and you practice Agile.
You have experience with container & serverless architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, AWS ECS)
You are experienced with CI/CD, and even better you have built CI/CD tools and pipelines.
The Skills that are Good To Have for this role
Experience creating *Nix scripts using bash, perl or languages like go, python etc.
Experience with Kubernetes and Helm
Experience with Terraform
