Are you a software engineer, technical support representative, or sales engineer looking for a different challenge or transition? The Product Owner role offers the ability to build upon your technical knowledge to shape the business direction and product offerings that delight customers.
Cradlepoint is expanding its Product Management organization. The Product Owner plays a critical role in developing products and solutions with the Cradlepoint R&D Team. Working with engineers and stakeholders daily to quickly define, build, test, and iterate on customer-facing features delivered with Cradlepoint’s Mobile App portfolio. This key role drives velocity internally and delivers value externally to the marketplace. It is a dynamic position that understands our customers, partners, business, and internal teams and processes to ensure what we build provides product value and solves customer problems while delivering iteratively with innovation, consistency, and teamwork. You will be an essential contributor to cross-functional problem solving, program coordination, continuous exploration, and value delivery for our customers and the business.

Responsibilities:

As a Product Owner, Mobile Apps, you will leverage your understanding of network management, customer experience, Mobile app delivery (Android and iOS), LTE, Cradlepoint services, and customer pain points combined with your project management, product management, and agile development skills to work closely with Engineering to make the customer mobile experience with NetCloud cutting edge, easy to use, and simple.
Embed with engineering teams to guide the deliverables and improve Cradlepoint’s Mobile applications.
Represent the voice of the customer while simultaneously working with engineering to deliver easy-to-use solutions.
Work closely with Product Management & Engineering to create and maintain team backlog articulating business value and ensuring it aligns with team’s charter.
Will be a technical evangelist and business subject matter expert for the team’s charter—articulate use cases and customer value to aid engineering development, train support, sales, and marketing.
Prioritize the team’s backlog and get the team ‘ready for execution’ thru backlog refinement. Actively participate in sprint meetings to keep the team aligned on priorities and scope.
Uncover and understand customer needs, translate them into requirements, and distill them into actionable stories.
Embrace uncertainty, be flexible and prepare for the fact that requirements will change with time, and plan how to adapt to the changes without breaking the team’s execution cadence.
Share and communicate customer requirements effectively so that the team focuses on solutions.
Build and maintain a relationship with stakeholders.
Define and execute the go-to-market plan, ensuring that product management, marketing, support, and sales have what they need to be successful.
Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant experience delivering mobile technologies in Android and iOS
Experience with networking, LTE, wireless WAN, SaaS, cloud-delivered services is a plus
Experience delivering products in an agile development environment; including the ability to translate requirements into user stories and manage multiple priorities
Strong ability to understand both technical details and practical business use of applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience operating autonomously across teams while demonstrating critical thinking skills and thought leadership
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
