Role Description
The Analytics AVP provides high quality, meaningful analysis to internal stakeholders, in a timely manner, to address current and future business needs. He/she will leverage analysis and research techniques to create value added insights for stakeholders. He/she will typically work under the guidance of lead Analysts and/or Analytics Managers to deliver analysis as per stakeholder requirements.
The Analytics AVP will be responsible for delivering a combination of analytics suite assigned to the individual using tools like Tableau/ Alteryx/ Advance Excel. The person will be required to think on his feet, good with numbers and able to deliver adhoc projects within stipulated timelines. Global Procurement – Analytics team works on an array of offerings including Supplier Spend Insight (Consumption Analytics, Demand Management, and Compliance Monitoring), Data Infrastructure, Management Information, Category Strategy & Planning/ Category reviews, and Performance Management. The incumbent will be required to familiarise herself/ himself with this array of offerings and would be responsible for flawless delivery of the bucket assigned to her/ him.

Your key responsibilities
Responsible for delivering the Analytics suite assigned to the individual
Provides MI and analytics support to the Procurement function in the areas of (process) metrics and reporting
Develop consumption analytics to enable demand management of externally sourced cost categories assigned to the individual
Build consumption data database for repeatable analytics
Work with Procurement and the Business Divisions on numerous cost optimisation programmes and strategies – drive consumption analytics to enable demand management of externally sourced cost categories assigned to the individual. Identify key demand levers, model expense data against each cost driver and provide actionable insights to optimise costs
Deliver actionable insights on how to drive down cost to businesses and infrastructure functions
Perform & engage in quarterly category reviews
Stable monthly supplier spend cube delivery
Deliver Supplier spend MI packs by Category/ Division/ Region
Lead & engage in initiatives across Global Procurement
Report GP Performance Scorecard and/ or performance highlights
Provides support on various project management activities and drives the projects to their appropriate conclusion
Collaborates with subject matter experts across Procurement to promote use of data, analytics and insights to improve overall strategic and operational performance
Utilizes technology and relevant tools to analyse core Procurement processes end-to-end, and communicate findings to senior management
Develop new analytics products to enhance our existing cost analytics platform
Work on new technologies like Alteyx, SQL, Celonis, Tableau to drive automation
Your skills and experience
Techno Finance professional with hands on approach and good analytical skills in a multi-national organization
Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance/ IT Professional with ~ 10 years of relevant work experience
Experience in an analytics environment (including MI and reporting) in big Corporates or Consulting/ Accounting Firms
Good analytical skills and comfort with data/numbers/reports with attention to detail
Good understanding of databases, data transformation and reporting tools like Tableau, SQL, MS Excel & Alteryx
Openness to expand knowledge into new analytical tools like Process Mining Tools (e.g. Celonis) or the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Strong analytical skills and ability to drive “commercial insight” through analysis. Proven data science knowledge an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving skills with acute attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
A strategic mind set with intellectual curiosity- ability to work both independently and in a team setting with minimal supervision
A self-starter, proactive and with an innovative approach to problem solving
Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and changing environment
Excellent inter-personal skills to deal with different stakeholders including senior stakeholder management
