Technical Architect is expected to play a key role within Digital Production & Business Services.
Key responsibilities will be:
As a member of the Technology & Platforms Architecture Review Board, your responsibility will be to provide governance, architectural guidance, lead architecture reviews and author key design decisions across a range of data products built by the dataWorx organisation
As an Azure SME, you will be a key point of contact for the dataWorx teams, encouraging best practice & standards, reusability to design solutions using varied Azure native products like Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic App, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Data Warehouse etc.
You would engage with product stakeholders in understanding their product vision, product roadmaps, technical gaps enabling you to identify opportunities in scaling their product or aligning to our architectural principles
As an architect you should be able to engage with product vendors to drive requirements to fulfil internal data products capabilities
Act as a key point of escalation to product teams, mediating and resolving conflicts
Must be aware of BP ecosystem and BP processes (e.g., know how to get access for various internal tools/applications/environments). Person should be motivated and self-driven.
Key Accountabilities
Define technology decisions and data solution architectures and for projects in the dataWorx organisation portfolio
Run and take part in architectural solution definition meetings, documenting and reviewing Key Design Decisions, producing architecture documentation meeting the needs of stakeholders at different levels
Run regular architectural product roadmap review sessions with product vendors and partake in product cadence sessions
Able to work in fast-paced, high-demand and delivery-oriented environments and able to adapt approach and style to meet shifting priorities
Evangelise architectural best practices across DP&BS and identify new opportunities on standardising product capabilities through reusability
Essential
TOGAF Certification or similar architecture qualification
12+ years Architecture Development Experience
Proven experience in having delivered integrated technical solutions on Azure
Azure Technologies
Azure Data Factory
Databricks
Logic App
SQL Server
Azure ML
Log Analytics
Big Data Storage Strategies and Technologies
Understanding of Architectural Governance Process
Understanding of Programming Languages like Scala, Python, R etc
Experience with Agile Methodologies
Desirable – Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
