Position :

Job Description : Industrial Electrical Technician
Responsibilities:
Participate in the design of plans and the drafting of technical specifications for electrical systems
Participate in the development of standards, single-wire diagrams, site plans and interconnection schemes, electrical distribution
Verify, accept and/or correct drawings of supplier lots to confirm their relevance to the requirements and conditions of the project
Evaluate construction costs
Write data sheets
Supervision of construction work
Performs all other related duties
Mandatory Requirements:
DEC in industrial electronics technology (electrodynamic option, instrumentation option, an asset) or Diploma in Electrical or equivalent experience.
Have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in electricity, ideally in engineering firms
Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, knowledge of AutoCad 3D or Revit, an asset
Fluency in French (spoken and written); knowledge of English (spoken and written), an asset
Desirable Requirements:
Working experience in Revit, CADS-RC, Civil3D, OpenRoads, NavisWorks, Infraworks, MicroStation and AutoCAD Software
Knowledge of ProjectWise or any other EDMS software
Knowledge of RC detailing software like Tekla, Bentley Rebar and SuperCAD.
Experience in steel detailing would be an added advantage
Sound knowledge in BS, EURO codes as well as UK, US & ME CAD/BIM standards.
Working experience on Canada projects would be an added advantage.

Selected candidates will be given opportunities to progress towards professional accreditation from one of the UK professional institutions.
Willingness to relocate in India or abroad for short durations would be an advantage.
