The Core Banking Application Production Support – or CB APS is a critical sub function that deals with providing Application related support to users and clients across multiple regions.

Position Purpose
This position is for Head of ISPL Core Banking APS team. The primary purpose is to Manage the deliveries of team of close to 50 members (Direct + Indirect reports and contract staffs) split across Mumbai and Chennai.

Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
Manage the Application Production Support teams for multiple core banking applications across multiple regions APAC, EUR and AMERICAS
Act as a single point of contact for Users, Support team and management to expected service level
Drive the governances with and manage the expectations of Regional , Operations and Business stakeholders
Drive various Automation, Monitoring & Tooling common purpose initiatives for Core Banking area.
Drive Critical incidents and crisis management for Core Banking applications
Work Collaboratively with Development, Infra and Operations team when required.
Work on Upskilling the team’s technical & domain expertise.
Continuous Service Improvements – Analyse and challenge existing support processes to achieve continuous improvement.
Involvement in internal and external Audits
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Good Knowledge on Unix and Oracle, PL/SQL, Java J2EE
Aware of Production related Incident, Problem, Change Processes
Practical knowledge of active monitoring and alerting tools
Abreast of trending Tools and technologies e.g. Devops
Ability to be data driven
Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
Strong analytical skills
Self-motivated, with strong ability to work both independently and with the team
Good people management skills
Ability to work with various APS, Development, Operations stakeholders, locally and globally.
