Job Description : Provide L3+ support for core database administration focused on MSSQL and Oracle equally
Lead a team of L2 and L3 DBA”s.
Responsible for delivering the DBA services to the customer.
Interacting with client over calls and provide details and reasoning of the deliverables.
Should groom the junior resources of the team to enhance their skills.
Should be able to lead the customer call and provide design level support to the client.
Manage SQL Server and Oracle databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
Provide 24×7 support for critical production systems.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
MSSQL DBA – MSSQL, SSIS, SSRS, with 4 to 6 Years” experience.
Oracle DBA – 10g, 11g, 12c and newer versions.
Provide DBA support in all aspects of database administration such as installation, configuration and migration.
Detailed knowledge of MSSQL and Oracle Replication Server.
Day-to-day production operations (incident break/ fix, change, service requests, vulnerability management).
Provide replication support for building warm standby and MSA types of replication.
Be able to independently plan and execute large database migration activities.
Database installation and version upgrade.
Handling databases backup, DBCC, restoration, update statistic, rebuild and reorg.
Analyzing and monitor system performance using DBCC, traceon commands, query plan output, system procedures like sp_sysmon and other performance monitoring tools.
Strong Performance and Tuning capabilities and root cause analysis reporting.
Troubleshooting problems real-time issues.
Knowledge and experience with enterprise wide disaster recovery activities and High Availability.
Good understanding of UNIX platform with ability to develop maintain UNIX shell scripts.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Good communication skills for providing documentation to support personnel, customers, and managers.
Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action.
