Job Summary
Trimble in Chennai is seeking a Hands-on Engineering Manager for its Cloud Platform Engineering Team to build and run large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant Cloud services. This Team in Chennai for Trimble Cloud platform will strive to make the APIs secure, highly available, reliable and performant to our users
Primary Responsibilities
The hands on Engineering Manager for Trimble Cloud platform – Cloud Utilities Services Engineering Squad should have the following skills . He / She is expected to be hands on and also have the ability to realize roadmaps with a bunch of smart people.. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Cloud technologies and with a specific focus in developing Cloud native Rest APIs , should be comfortable working with stakeholders across geographies in a multicultural environment .
Required Technical Skills
Very good Design & Development skills in developing high quality responsive Cloud native apps
10+ years overall programming experience required in Java and or Python, preferably in building commercial web applications / distributed systems, SaaS Apps. (Preferably Python)
· Proficiency in Python / Java
· Object Oriented Programming
· Data Analysis
· Good exposure in TDD
Experience in building lambda functions with Python
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Expert level knowledge of RESTful interfaces
Very good hands on experience working on AWS or Azure cloud platforms .
Delivers world class, high quality design and code

Other Skills
Hire & Manage group of talented Software Engineers ,Should have lead group of developers and Quality Engineers for at least the past 3 years
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to force clarity upon poorly-defined problems.
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
Completely own the end to end Design, Development , quality and maintenance of the Cloud App .
Excellent oral & written communication and presentation skills.
Experience with Agile development methodology.
Create and maintain an open and transparent environment that values speed, innovation and quality.
Self-driven go-getter.
