SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the integrity of the Company’s Books of Account, handling employee payroll and vendor activities for both Indian and global stakeholders. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining sound practices and procedures and working closely with other team members to ensure accurate and timely payroll and financial transactions. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including payroll processing for the US and India, general ledger entries, financial reporting and year-end audit preparation.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Conduct and oversee all activities to post the Books of Account, including journal entries, data interfaces with other systems, accruals, account maintenance and coding, and reconciliations for Indian and global entities.
US payroll processing as directed by the US based human resource and payroll teams
US & Other payroll Journal Entry postings into the Company’s financial system Microsoft GP
Processing of India Payroll and payroll related compliances
Management of India Non-Payroll related compliance – for vendors, GST/VAT taxes, employee expenses
Prepare and maintain auditable schedules and analysis in support of general ledger account balances which take into account requirements of US GAAP and India statutory compliance for proper financial accounting
Establish and document best practices for financial and operational accounting policies, procedures, and calendars
Coordinate and review the global group monthly close process
Cash /Bank Posting entries and bank reconciliations for India Entity & other global entities
Must be willing to work a mid-shift schedule to overlap with US and European time zones

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
CPA, preferred
5+ years of experience in Accounting in positions of increasing responsibility

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP software or other mid-range ERP systems
Exceptional time-management and organizational skills with proven ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines in a high energy and fast-paced environment
Thorough attention to detail and accuracy with a strong work ethic, hands on style
