As a hands on Cloud & Mobile Application/Product Architect, you will partner with GE Healthcare enterprise architecture team and hybrid cloud colleagues to design, build and run hybrid cloud based applications and mobile applications. You will design appropriate application design and application migration strategies based on microservices architecture, to delight our customers using these applications. The intent is to leverage digital technology and modern architectures to provide a rich experience to users of our system, be it end customer like a clinician, patient or the IT staff managing and maintaining our application in a hybrid cloud environment.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for :
As a Principal Product Architect, you have total responsibility for the technical delivery and the quality for our software products using your extensive experience in software engineering. You’ll spend your time on the following:
Provide technical leadership across the entire product development cycle to ensure quality and to meet requirements.
Coach and mentor development teams to build robust backend services, web, and mobile apps from development to deployment.
Ensure code quality via manual and automated techniques such as: code reviews, devops tools and practices to build, test and deploy backend services, web and mobile apps.
Architect and maintain large-scale distributed cloud agnostic systems using microservice architectures.
Apply engineering and architectural best practices and standards such as writing clean and reusable code.
Lead software development teams using Agile, Lean, Continuous Integration/Delivery approaches and infrastructure automation.
Qualifications & Key Competencies
Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science with at least 15 years of technical experience and a thorough understanding of different architectures, tools & programming languages.
You are well versed in multiple programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, TypeScript, and Swift
Expertise building containerized backend services using Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker and Linux, relational and NoSQL databases.
Hands on experience delivering microservices based architectures , design & products
Expertise in finetuning and troubleshooting datastore issues on relational, NoSQL and in-memory database systems.
Expertise in frontend web technologies and architectures such as Single Page Applications, Node.js, React, Angular, Redux, responsive design, RTL/LTR ( right to left / left to rightlayouts, and CSS.
Expertise in native and hybrid mobile app technologies such as Android, iOS, React Native,
Expertise in the entire software development cycle across software engineering, security, data interchange, data management etc.
Experience as an architect and leading and inspiring software development teams
Expertise in building high performance and highly available systems
You can write clean, high-quality code in a variety of languages and are also able to spot (and refactor) bad code.
You have a deep understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation, infrastructure as code, and application hosting technologies
You’ve previously worked with monitoring systems, Distributed Tracing, Log Aggregation, Audit Logging, Exception Tracking, Health Check APIs, Application Metrics, Self-Healing on cloud agnostic systems.
Experience with different software testing techniques, such as unit testing, functional testing, end to end testing, load testing and the ability to automate that part of CI/CD.
Experience integrating software systems using message-based architectures, REST APIs, and tools like Apache Camel, SQS, Kafka, Airflow, Conductor, AMQP, etc.
Experience with Site Reliability Engineering concepts and techniques.
Hands on experience on hybrid mobile applications
Hands on experience delivering microservices based architecture in one of the cloud providers (ex. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
Cloud Solution architecture certification will be considered a definite plus
Hands on experience working with Kubernetes based applications and container workloads.
Hands on experience on Cloud agnostic & deployment agnostic products
Contract first/API first design and delivery experience.
In depth understanding of Dev-Ops and CI/CD pipelines for containerized microservices workloads.
Good understanding of various data design and deployment options on cloud
Experience with use of Formal architecture frameworks in development and design– TOGAF etc.
Enterprise integrations (middleware data/API models, system integration patterns, etc.)
Application tiering (caching, state management, data mgmt., scale-out, etc.)
Component/service deployment models (serverless, containerized, VM, 3rd-party services, cloud provider PaaS, etc.)
Database (relational, NOSQL/document, time series, etc.)
API design (OAS, middleware, external vs internal facing, Swagger, etc.)
Scalability / application / service optimization
Deep understanding of e2e security implications across, Infrastructure, Middleware and SaaS based and Hybrid Cloud and mobile application workloads.
AuthX integration (SSO, SAML, federation, etc.)
Deep understanding and hands on experience in delivering secure applications leveraging RBAC in Kubernetes deployments
