Job Description : About the Role
Fasten your helmet and climb on board if you’re ready to be our Product Manager – an integral player in the Consumer Incentives team. In this role, you’ll take the wheel in driving the platform’s product vision & strategy, and build our products to scale.
The Consumer Incentives team is responsible for all kinds of rewards, promotions, and loyalty offerings for our end customers. The product portfolio currently comprises discounting products and Internal Tooling for the disbursement of capital. As a PM in the Incentives Vertical, you will be helping in creating delightful incentive/ discounting experiences such as subscriptions, gamified journey based rewards, gifting mechanism, etc to increase user stickiness to GoJek – while optimizing multiple objectives such as unit economics, CSAT/ NPS, return on promo spend for Gojek & its merchant-partners, demand shaping, and overall conversion on the booking flow. Some of the questions we tackle daily include: “How do we ease discovery of discounts for users across Gojek’s touchpoints?”, “How do we personalize discounts for users based on their preferences?”, “How do we integrate ML models into our business to auto-generate discounts?” and “How do we enable Gojek & its partners to create discounts with minimal steps while increasing their ROI?”
You’ll look at every customer pain point through their lens to devise effective and elegant solutions. In collaboration with a talented troop of Product Managers, BI Analysts, Product Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Designers, and Sales/ Ops you’ll guide the efforts in building newer product flows and ML algorithms to help provide the most relevant promotions and offers to our Gojek users. By listening and collaborating diligently with all relevant stakeholders in efforts to solve their daily problems; these problems directly pilot and affect the kind of product and services we create for Gojek.
What You Will Do
Deliver. You do more than talk – you put things on paper, get your hands dirty, and execute with precision make sure products and features are launched
Formulate the long-term product strategy, half-yearly OKRs, and strategic initiatives to ensure delivery of key business goals in collaboration with stakeholders from Engineering, Product, Business, Growth, and Finance
Capture insights from merchant-partner feedback, experiments, research, and data analysis to identify trends and pinpoint the drivers behind them; translate these insights into tactical solutions to improve our products
Mentor direct reports, and lead by example. Lead a cross-functional team, partnering with engineering, design, and other teams to ship major features and product improvements
Understand that “one size doesn’t fit all” and conceptualize solutions that are configurable and adaptable to the maximum extent possible
Be in the details. Know your team’s work and partner team’s work in-depth and understand the impact for your team and stakeholders
Your work will involve you in establishing synergies with a multitude of the team’s across GOJEK – Data Science, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Growth, and our Product Groups from Transport and Food and beyond
Define scalable processes for the team to follow resulting in gains inefficient delivery, better communication, and feedback cycles
What You Will Need
At least 3-4 years experience working in the product management space, preferably a consumer facing product role
Strong strategic planning and organizational skills; ability to lead a team across multiple locations
Able to work with agile product development teams and able to identify new ways to help your team be effective. Experience in working with distributed teams is desired
Independent and curious, you set your targets, ask for help when you need it and are always looking to learn something new
A “Can-Do” Attitude: A positive attitude and passion for learning in fast-paced environments. We move fast!
Communication: Strong communication skills. You know how to build trust, set goals, and get things done. You aren’t afraid of using whatever channel (face-to-face, email, Whatsapp) is required
Data-Driven First: When making decisions you leverage technical resources and data to support hypotheses. You are skilled at SQL and understand basic statistics, but you also know when to step back from the rabbit hole of ‘too many metrics’
Brownie points to folks who’ve built or worked on rewards/incentive/loyalty programs in the past
