Job Description
The Role
Reporting to the Group Tax Manager, this role will be responsible for assisting with the accounting and compliance for Group Tax.
What will I be delivering?
Detailed reconciliations of current and deferred tax accounts on a monthly basis, with explanations and corrective action taken for any discrepancies.
Post current and deferred tax journals, including the monthly current and deferred tax entries.
Manage updates to the transfer pricing model each quarter and ensure invoicing across Group entities is processed accurately and in accordance with month-end deadlines.
Prepare current and deferred tax disclosures for the Half Year and Annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Work closely with the CENX team to advise on the correct accounting treatment of tax cash (payments and refunds).
Liaise with overseas tax accountants as required to confirm local accounting treatment versus IFRS and other matters required to understand the regional tax accounting entries.
Document tax accounting processes and use to drive consistency across the Group entities.
Assist in maintaining tax compliance trackers.
Other ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications

Qualified Accountant (ACA) or equivalent
Minimum two years PQE (Big 4 Accountant)
Good understanding of corporate tax accounting
Ability to assimilate large volumes of data from various sources
Experience of Netsuite desirable
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills
Strong excel skill (e.g. V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, Sum if, etc.)
