Job Description Summary: Over the last year, PayPal has introduced a range of new products and features for our customers around the world, significantly expanding the functionality of the PayPal app and introducing new ways to use PayPal in more places, both digitally and in physical environments. In 2021, PayPal introduced the new PayPal app, an all-in-one, personalized app that provides PayPal customers with a single destination to easily and securely manage their daily financial lives and do more with their money. This included new features and services like high yield savings, early access to direct deposit funds, new and improved bill pay functionality, messaging capabilities enabling family and friend communications, as well as additional crypto capabilities, and customized deals and offers. In the coming quarters, PayPal plans to add new features and enhancements to the app, including investment capabilities to enable customers to grow money and invest it in things like individual stocks and other assets.

Work as full-time full-stack developer for the team.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision in a team to define, design, implement, test, release rollout and support software applications for PayPal.
Work with business units to crystallize business needs into product features.
Work with engineering managers, engineers & QA to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs w.r.t functionality, performance, reliability, realistic implementations schedules and adherence to development goals and principles.
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team to define, design, implement, test, release rollout and support complex software applications in AWS.
Review and approve software design and implemented code.
Develop new team capabilities to ensure continued competence and relevance in supporting software development needs of PayPal’s business.
Define and devise processes, tools and methodologies to achieve excellence in software development, testing and deployment.
Follow the team processes like Agile etc.
Job Requirements:
BE in Computer Science or equivalent university education with 5+ years of software development experience.
Experience with Functional and Object-Oriented JavaScript/ES6+ coding
Exceptional client-side JavaScript skills being able to handle complicated JS code and frameworks like React Redux/Angular/Vue etc.
Exceptional server-side JavaScript skills. Experienced in working on complicated NodeJS applications.
Experience in HTML 5 /CSS 3 and ability to develop responsive applications.
Exposure to Java and SQL/NoSQL data stores will be an advantage
Experience with github, managing branches and resolving merge conflicts
Experience with Webpack and other build and packaging systems
Experience in designing UI and UX for complex problems / products
Experience writing automated unit and functional tests
Problem-solving skills and being open minded about solving a technical problem in more than one way.
Awareness and experience with best practices for web development, accessibility, page performance etc.
Highly analytical, innovative, and able to think strategically and to develop comprehensive detailed specifications.
Ability to determine the impact of architectural solutions and recommendations.
Experience in justification of technology solutions to business leaders.
Highly effective at working in cross-functional groups and getting results in matrix organizations.
Good to have:
Understanding of core AWS services, uses, and basic AWS architecture best practices
Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS
