This role also includes supporting marketing with custom code in email templates and other related front end assets. The role also includes building apps, building integrations and inventing useful solutions. *Please note this is not the entire role but gives a good indication of what is expected: Apps:Ideating, researching and building Shopify apps for merchants. Building internal Shopify apps for the agency to sell. Building the backend of Shopify themes.Integrations:Integrating systems and API’s for merchants and other services. Migrating clients from other platforms such as Magento and building new stores in collaboration with front end developers.Marketing:Creating web apps and supporting marketing and the front end developer.The ideal fitThe ideal person has a proven well-rounded record of back end development with Shopify stores. They understand Shopify CLI, SASS, Version Control (GIT), Node.js, NPM and GULP as well as other languages associated with Shopify backend, themes and applications. They should be focused on E-commerce and have hands-on experience demonstrating their Shopify app and theme development capabilities.Your main responsibilities:CROWorking with clients to help increase conversions online based on their user analytical data, using techniques such as A/B testing and using software like Google Tag Manager.Templates & client sites ownershipWorking with the team to deliver client projects and new templates. Owning all back end responsibilities.Skills (at least 70% required to be considered):Ruby, PHP, React. js, vanilla JavaScript, Python, HTML, Javascript, CSS, Liquid, React, Graph SQL. A strong understanding of Shopify store structure and templating language. 3+ years back end development experience. Knowledge of using Shopify APIs with Laravel would be a bonus.Note: This job description represents a statement of duties of the position, but does not include all minor duties.
