Kotlin Developer
This resource will participate in the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of android mobile application developed for Bechtel. This person will be exposed to the full life-cycle of development and play a hands-on role throughout the life-cycle of the project. This person will have significant interaction with application owners, other members of the development team, and SMEs.
Ideal candidate will have experience with Kotlin and Android Studio.
Grade 23 – 3 to 5 yrs
Grade 24 – 5 to 7 yrs
Basic Skills/Qualifications
Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (BE/MCA/BCA)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Agility and quick learner
Understanding of the Software development lifecycle
Good Analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
Should have a high level of energy working as an individual Contributor and as a part of Team.
Technical Skills (Hands On)
Minimum of 3 + years of experience developing mobile apps for Android platform using Android SDKs, Android Studio.
Design and Build applications for the Android platform using Kotlin language
Android SDKs, Android Studio, Phone/ Table development experience, Push notifications, Third-party app integration, Caching
Strong OO design and programming skills
Understanding of database like MySQL. Proficient understanding of code versioning tool GIT
Understanding of RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Experience
Experience in at least one full life-cycle of software development project using Agile; requirements analysis, design, development, testing and implementation
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements & translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
Ability to work independently, also along with the vendor teams
Ability to work in shifts
Ability to work in offshore and onsite model
Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code.
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
