This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Fluency in architecture and design across all systems
Knowledge in at least one area of technical architecture
Strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes
Experience in risk and risk control compliance
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
Passionate about building an innovative culture
Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
Pragmatism and the ability to strike the balance between the need for process versus the need to accelerate project delivery and not overburden teams with unnecessary administrative overhead is key.
Excellent understanding of project life cycles and project methodology.
Experience with Agile project methodology
Expert in Java, Casandra, Kafka, Spring, Spring Boot, Cloud foundry.
Advantage of having Cloud Certification but not compulsory.
Deep understanding of REST & SOAP Protocols.

The product architect is:
A strategic role, that directly interacts with the product owner (PO) and the tech partner (TP)

Responsible for creating the target state(s) of the product:
Responsible for the end-to-end architecture of the product and the rationalization of the assets owned or used by the product
Responsible for adhering to CCB and Enterprise Architecture standards/guidance
Responsible for achieving the objectives of App Modernization, Cloud Transformation and Data Center Migration
Responsible for laying out the architecture runway, that is, the technical roadmap to get to the target state in increments, inclusive of elements to also address data concerns and non-functional requirements
Responsible for applying Domain Driven Design (DDD) software engineering practices to create the Solution Intent to define the required set of autonomous applications, and the definition of microservices, events, APIs and data
Responsible for ensuring progress toward the target state using New Banking Architecture as well as the identification of technical debt when there is non-compliance to NBA standards
Ensuring design decisions are made in a strategic context; when tactical decisions need to be made, the product architecture must ensure the PO is aware of/is managing its technical debt
Ensuring what is delivered is what was intended based on the design
