Job Description
Network Management Services: Management of the configuration of routing and switching equipment. Reactive support for unmanaged devices by coordinating with Client staff in the regional office to assist with basic diagnostic checks ýff Process change requests for MACDs (moves, adds, changes, and deletes) in a timely manner including enabling/disabling and interface settings ýff Establish, log, audit and control access to network devices ýff Maximise network performance by monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to improve network optimization ýff Monitor availability and capacity of WAN devices and circuits using the Clientýffs provided monitoring tools. Monitor, analyse, track and report on Network capacity as required to avoid or mitigate operational risk and make recommendations monthly ýff Coordination with the Clientýffs personnel located in regional branches for the purpose of initial troubleshooting of LAN & WAN availability and performance issues ýff Managing all core networking tasks in the Data centres including Server to switch cabling and maintenance of connectivity blueprints ýff Managing IP addresses for internal and public facing services ýff Monitoring , managing and support of DNS and DHCP services, including network address ranges, address assignments, set up of internal and external DNS zones ýff Managing external Domain Name registrations, including renewals, registrations and configuration of services related to domain names ýff Configuring LAN and Wi-Fi devices for SIEM reporting and monitoring so that the SOC services provider is able to monitor security activities on the devices ýff Management of the Clientýffs under floor structured cabling installations by coordinating with the cabling contractors as required to support changes to office configurations ýff Management of Data Centre network cabling installations ýff Patching from the floor point to the device within the Clientýffs offices, as required to support changes to office configurations ýff Maintain configuration of load balancers for optimal application delivery and configuration of network cache environment to distribute content across network as designed. Firewall Management: Implement, modify and delete firewall rules and policies in accordance with standard change management process and Client approval ýff Configuration of event log forwarding, as per the Clientýffs requirements, to the Clientýffs Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) solution ýff Review of firewall policies on a quarterly basis, providing recommendations for improving security and removing risks in the configuration and policies applied to the devices ýff Maintain resilience in the configuration of the firewall service to provide the highest possible level of availability ýff Participate and drive planned disaster recovery activities ýff Setting up, troubleshooting and decommissioning site to site and client to site VPNs ýff Troubleshooting access list related issues on firewall ýff Tracking, applying new patches and performing minor version upgrades for security devices and the management platform ýff Failover of firewall service between Data Centres as required by the Client or the Supplier to meet Availability Service Levels ýff Remediation of exploits identified in the configuration or software levels of the firewall devices and associated software, based on patches available from the OEM
