To be successful you will need:
Understand the database architecture, data pipelines.
Understand the applications’ functionalities.
Understand the Performance Tuning and Query Optimization and code optimization.
Understand the Extracting, Transforming and Loading (ETL) data from Excel, Flat file, Oracle to MS SQL Server by using BCP utility, DTS and SSIS services
Understand the data flow from On-premises database layer to Azure SQL data layer.
Skills

Skillsets we are looking for:
Work on ETL (SSIS), SQL procedure enhancements and work in SQL Azure Database.
Track and enforce regulatory compliance and conformance to data policies, standards, architectures, and procedures.
Writing complex queries, stored procedures, views, triggers etc. as part of services and enhance the existing based on business rules that are applicable.
Work on various SQL Server Services like Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS), and Reporting Services (SSRS).
Monitor query using query analyser and tuned queries and procedures to boost database performance.
Work with T-SQL tables, Creating Stored Procedures, implementing stored Procedures, Functions, Views, User Profiles, Data Dictionaries and Data Integrity.
To write complex queries involving multiple tables, great ability to develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, user defined functions.
Data analysis and data migration by transferring them using SSIS packages.
Customization of the process flow as per requirement
Manage data quality and integrity in databases.
Managing database objects and archiving data.
Work with both Scalar and table valued UDF’s in SQL database.
Work on Power shell scripting to maintain the data quality checks and connect to multiple database servers to bring data.
