Consoliplex is the industry leader in providing high quality health plan management services to chambers of commerce, trade associations and other organizations that aggregate small businesses together for health benefit solutions. In addition to providing high value administrative, technology, and advisory services to its customers, Consoliplex coordinates the efforts of the various service providers also required to administer the health plan while holding them to the same standard of integrity that Consoliplex demands of itself.
As an Accountant with Consoliplex, you will be responsible for the monthly financial close process, the handling of both GAAP and insurance statutory basis reporting and financial statements and assisting with the regulatory compliance of customer health benefit plan entities. You will produce full trial balances and all reconciliations for each assigned customer health plan and act as point of contact for day to day accounting operations for the customer, auditors, and other key business partners.
This is a remote position in the Cleveland/Northeast area of Ohio. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter, possess strong analytical and reporting skills, and have keen attention to detail. This job requires a solid level of overall financial and accounting knowledge.
Specific requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field from an accredited university or 2-5 years previous accounting experience in a similar role (insurance experience a plus)
CPA or CPA eligible strongly preferred
Strong analytical skills to interpret and evaluate financial results
Ability to effectively communicate complex financial, business or process concepts to others
Demonstrated ability to build strong internal partnerships
Flexibility with the ability to prioritize work to ensure tight deadlines are met
Lateral thinker with ability to adapt to change with a drive for continuous improvement
Team player who has a hands-on approach to achieving objectives with ability to motivate self and others
Self-motivated and able to effectively communicate with others
Strong time management skills and attention to detail with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
General ledger system experience strongly preferred
Advanced Excel skills are required
