Pay Rate: $17-$19 depending on qualifications
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST

Position Summary:
This role will be primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of monthly journal activity and month-end reconciliations. In addition, the role requires the ability to analyze financial reports to assess for accuracy, completeness and assurance that proper procedures and internal controls are in place for accounting and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing and analyzing general ledger accounts on a monthly basis by meeting and exceeding published corporate deadlinesResponsible for preparing and analyzing journal entries and assembling the proper supporting documentation in accordance to policyProduce and review daily, weekly, monthly or ad hoc reporting through the use of reporting systems/tools as required by client and SOX requirementsCreate/maintain standard operating procedures in accordance to policySupport client inquires and information requests within our service level agreementSupport month end, quarter end and year end closing and other key processing deadlinesSubject to onsite audits of all tasks requiring process explanation and accountabilityAbility to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining positive team moraleActively train on primary and back-up responsibilitiesConduct hierarchy maintenancePerform back-office transactional tasks with high quality, meeting or exceeding data entry requirements
Qualifications:
Required Associate’s (2 year) degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experiencePreferred BA/BS (4 year) degree in Finance, Accounting or related fieldPreferred 1-4+ years of experience in financial accounting processes or relevant fieldRequired proficiency in Microsoft EXCEL using advanced formulas, data analysis and the ability to manipulate large volumes of dataStrong analytical and problem solving skillsHigh attention to detailAbility to complete daily tasks as requiredExceptional customer service skillsMust be able to communicate effectively through written and verbal communication in a professional manner.Experience in Shared Service Center/Outsourcing environment a plus.Ensure adherence to custom Accounting Policies, generally accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX); participate in audits as appropriateStrong interpersonal skills
