Job Description : We heard you knock!This position, Corporate Staff Accountant II, will be a part of the Corporate Accounting Team. Responsibilities will include monthly and quarterly close process including preparation of journal entries, monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations, as well as financial statement analytics and forecasting. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the enhancement of internal controls & SOX, assisting with the consolidation process and participating in special ad-hoc projects.Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Prepare and record monthly recurring journal entries primarily related to payroll and benefit allocations for the US and Canada.Protects organization’s value by protecting company assets and keeping information confidential.Perform general accounts analysis and balance sheet account reconciliations and reviews, including high-volume and complex accounts for employer’s benefits costs, accruals, prepaids, etc.Develop and maintain management reporting for company’s payroll and benefits costs as well as intercompany reporting to assist in balancing.Develop efficiencies in the close cycle and ensure that all steps in the close process are adequately documented.Act as liaison between corporate accounting department and various other departments, including Global Business Services, Payroll, HR, Treasury and Internal Audit.Prepare and assist with the company’s annual audit, fulfilling requests from external auditors.Prepare and post consolidation entries and schedules in consolidation reporting tool.Analyze and report on monthly global lease platform.Adhoc reporting as required.Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting required.Advanced certifications and/or degrees preferred but not required: CPA, MBA, CMA2 – 4 years of experience in a financial reporting or related roleStrong written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented team player with excellent organizational skillsMust be a self-starter, flexible, and able to work on time sensitive projects without daily supervisionAbility to interact with all levels of management in various departments throughout the companyWillingness to take on and assist with new and varied projects as they ariseMicrosoft Office skills – Excel, Word and PowerPointOpen to extraordinary!Location: 1242 E 5th Ave, Tampa, FL 33605, USAJob Type: Full-time
