Position :
Job Description : The Accountant II performs detailed activities associated with the month end general ledger financial close process, maintaining general ledger accounts and developing financial statements and reports and maintaining the Fixed Asset system. Daily activities may be focused upon specific operational concerns (e.g., daily cash reconciliation). All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience:
Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related area is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
One (1) to three (3) years accounting/general ledger experience is required.
Knowledge of Infinium, Showcase, and other accounting software packages is preferred.
Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the property.
Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management and employees in all situations.
Must be able to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
Must be able to bend, kneel, or stretch for filing purposes.
Must be able to sit for extended periods working at a computer terminal.
