No evenings.No weekends or major holidays. Responsibilities: The Senior Accountant is an integral member of the Philadelphia team. The Senior Accountant assists in the general accounting operations by monitoring and verifying our financial transactions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  Oversees the operations of the company’s accounting, which include accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and credit card transactions.Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.Reviews vendor invoices for payments.Performs month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.Maintains general ledgers including cash receipts and disbursements, journal entries, month-end and year-end close.Assists with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and reports on variances.Assists with preparing and monitoring budgets.Oversees the production of periodic financial reports and distributes internally and externally as required.Assists with audit preparation.Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; and advising management on needed actions.Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance4-6 years of relevant experience in an accounting functionUnderstanding of GAAP accounting concepts (debit/credits, revenue recognition, etc.)Strong analytical and system skills; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is requiredAbility to objectively review and comment on others’ work product and to recommend corrective action where necessaryFamiliarity with Revenue cycle is preferredEffective written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to perform complex accounting tasks and functionsFlexibility, multi-tasking, creative thinking, strong organization skills are required to meet strict deadlinesMust be a strong team player, highly motivated and possesses the ability to work under pressure during peak periodsWork Environment: This Monday through Friday position is 100% on-site at our Northeast Philadelphia location.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Accounting: 4 years (Required)Work Location: One location
