POSITION TITLE: Accountant
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager – Accounting
SUMMARY: Support the Accounting Department duties with emphasis on general ledger management, preparation of account reconciliations, and journal entry postings, as well as special projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close process
Analyze financial transactions and balances to ensure that they are appropriately recorded in the general ledger
Prepare and review routine recurring and non recurring journal entries
Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts
Assist in quarterly SEC financial reporting process
Assist in the preparation of key internal reporting
Prepare required documentation for financial audits and reviews
Assist in maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley compliance
Additional responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
1-3 year’s experience in corporate accounting or equivalent public accounting experience
Lawson or Oracle software experience preferred
Cadency reconciliation and journal entry software experience preferred
High degree of proficiency with standard Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail
Strong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Demonstrated collaboration and teaming skills
